Arsenal Arsenal v Spurs : 5 Conclusions VS Tottenham Spurs Arsenal v Spurs : 5 Conclusions
V. Persie 42′
Fabregas 43′
V.Persie 60′
  1. Van Persie is highly underrated. He can score in and around the box, create chances for others and score off free kicks and yet isn’t labeled as a deadly striker.
  2. Fabregas’ goal was simply superb. Made it 2-0. [Watch both the goals here]
  3. Bentley can still make an impact and deserves more chances. Even if it is in the Carling Cup.
  4. Arsenal complete a decade of dominance over their London rivals. Spurs haven’t beaten the “Big four” in the last 65 away games. Top four for them? Nothing to show of it.
  5. BIG London derby? Eh, not so much.

Maybe he is a better playmaker than striker? I am sure he can operate as a striker as well..

In all honesty, I believe plenty of Arsenal’s players can play as creative midfielders and strikers too. We saw Theo Walcott playing on the right midfield and also play as a lone striker on many occasions.

Ledley King s fitness was the difference between the two teams. I have never seen him play so poorly. He always stands up and was on his backside for all 3 goals. It was sad to see as he is such a good player

Ledley King’s injuries have been the reason for his poor form and poor display. He rarely plays and isn’t capable of playing more than one game a week.
