Burnley sign Uniteds Eckersley

Premiership’s new boys Burnley have signed young Manchester United defender Richard Eckersley on a four year deal.

The 20 year old turned down a deal at Old Trafford and instead signed his future with the Turf Moor based club.

Since he’s under the age of 24, Burnley would be liable to pay Manchester United some sort of compensation which both the clubs need to agree upon.

He becomes Burnley’s fifth signing of the summer after acquiring Tyrone Mears, Steven Fletcher, David Edgar and Brian Easton.
