Liverpool Day!

After Kuyt and Gerrard extended their contracts by two years,along came the awards.Liverpool duo of Rafa Benitez and Steven Gerrard have been named Manager and Player of the month of March,respectively.

This is Gerrard’s fifth player of the month award.The month saw Liverpool keep neck to neck competition with Manchester United after their away win at Manchester United and a hammering to Aston Villa at home.

Rafa Benitez rightly picked up the award for the manager of the month too.Liverpool collected maximum possible points to stay second in the title race.This is also Benitez’s fifth manager of the month title and the secont this season.Earlier award came for the month of October.
