Gerrard extends Liverpool contract

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has agreed to a two year contract extension with the Mersey siders.

This would keep the talismatic midfielder with Liverpool until 2013.

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez had this to say on the clubs official website :

“Steven has once again shown his commitment and it was an easy deal to agree. As soon as we offered him the option he said yes. There were no problems at all. He wants to stay for life.”

This is fabulous news for the reds as Gerrard is in scintillating form.The player scored a hat-trick in their previous game against Aston Villa which ended in a 5-0 triumph.
